I’m hoping to have a fairly large garden this year.
We’re not past our last frost
date yet, so, for outside, I’m only starting seeds that are a little more cold-tolerant.
I recently learned that
cilantro is best planted while it’s still chilly, and of course, greens tend to
do well in cooler weather.
So, last weekend, I started
my collard green and cilantro seeds.
I’m hoping to see little sprouts
soon!
I planted some of the cold tolerant things last week. I was using up old seed, so we'll see how much of it comes up.
ReplyDeleteSigh! I am so envious of the weather. We had more snow.
ReplyDeleteWe have snow coming next week, so nothing will be planted for another 6 weeks outdoors.

ReplyDeleteA lot of rain in my neck of the woods lately. Now it's expected to be warm.
I love cilantro and had the best collard greens a few weeks ago. Now I think I should grow!
ReplyDeleteFun, I am sitting here with my paper and pencil planning garden tubs myself.
ReplyDeleteI did not know some plants did better in the cold. Good luck with these.
ReplyDeleteI love greens but oh not cilantro tastes awful to me.
ReplyDeleteBut can't wait to plant our little garden.

I LOVE collard greens. Especially, with bits of ham thrown in and sprinkled with a little vinegar.
ReplyDeleteI love collard greens, especially when cooked the southern way with bacon. I'm one of those who thinks cilantro tastes like soap. LOL!
