Collard Greens & Cilantro (Blogging from A to Z Challenge)

I’m hoping to have a fairly large garden this year.

We’re not past our last frost date yet, so, for outside, I’m only starting seeds that are a little more cold-tolerant.

I recently learned that cilantro is best planted while it’s still chilly, and of course, greens tend to do well in cooler weather.

So, last weekend, I started my collard green and cilantro seeds.

I’m hoping to see little sprouts soon!

  1. I planted some of the cold tolerant things last week. I was using up old seed, so we'll see how much of it comes up.

  2. Sigh! I am so envious of the weather. We had more snow.

  3. We have snow coming next week, so nothing will be planted for another 6 weeks outdoors.

A lot of rain in my neck of the woods lately. Now it's expected to be warm.

  9. I LOVE collard greens. Especially, with bits of ham thrown in and sprinkled with a little vinegar.

  10. I love collard greens, especially when cooked the southern way with bacon. I'm one of those who thinks cilantro tastes like soap. LOL!
