Happy Hump Day - The Jack ‘O Lantern Edition

Since Halloween is just a few days away I thought today’s Hump Day pictures should feature Jack ‘O Lanterns and other carved pumpkins. I wish I could take credit for the more interesting ones, but they’re all my friend Crystal’s handy work. She takes her pumpkin carving very seriously!

Have you carved your pumpkin yet? Do you do a traditional Jack ‘O Lantern or something else?

Points if you recognized this as being the design on the South Carolina flag!

  1. Wow, some are very intricate; all look great!! Your friend is very talented (and patient too). No we haven't carved a pumpkin; probably won't. Now that we live in this gated community, we are thinking probably we won't have too many trick or treaters; going to get one bag of candy and hope that lasts for the night. Did drive by one of the streets here last night that has old Victorian type houses on it. They are known to decorate for Halloween so we went to see before the crowds got there on Halloween. It was cute with all the lights, inflatables, etc. I guess on Halloween the residents will even be out there with apple cider :)

  3. Those are great. I haven't carved a pumpkin in years (decades). The closest I came was to paint a jack-o-lantern face onto an amigurumi pumpkin I crocheted.

  4. Wow, That looks like hard work.
We used to have a Jack O Lantern on Halloween every year when we lived in a house. Now that we are in a condo, our front door is every one else's too and the condo rules are no fun.
