For the purposes of this post, we’re just going to ignore today. We’re not going to talk about the fact that it’s cold and windy, or the fact that it has rained all day long. We’re going to pretend we’re not under a flood watch.
Instead, we’re going to talk about Saturday, when it was sunny, warm, and gorgeous. We spent almost the entire day in the yard. We cut grass, trimmed bushes and vines, dug up the raised beds, and planted kale. It’s still a little early to plant most things, but the kale seeds are planted, and the raised beds are ready for the other vegetables we’ll be planting in a few more weeks.
The azaleas are in full bloom, and absolutely gorgeous. The hammock is up and ready to be enjoyed. Definite signs of spring!
That looks like a lovely day. Sending you dry thoughts.
ReplyDeleteWe got that weather Sunday and today; it was very welcome.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty with all the blooms!! That hammock looks very inviting!!! Let's hope this is the last of the wintery weather and more pleasant spring days are on the way!

This weather will return again. Thinking of you, Danielle.
ReplyDeleteHere in Nashville we have tried and tired to enjoy spring but Mother Nature is so fickle! haha...we have beautiful nice spring days then the next it is so cool that you are back in pants and jackets. Then there is the rain...so over all this rain. Great pics and I hope Mother Nature is being nicer to you guys.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are dazzling, Danielle! I'm so glad spring has come (even it it takes a break for a day or two.) Those azelias -- biggest sigh!
ReplyDeleteLovely! I don't think we have azaleas here... something about the PH of the soil being wrong... I think.
ReplyDeleteAnyhow, it's pouring rain here today - which is a bummer, but since it was forecast to be snow, I guess I should count my blessings. Plus, since we're already battling wildfires, the moisture is a good thing. Hoping my cobbled together kitty house is keeping my new little feral friend dry!
Raining today, but we also had a nice Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen such blooming azalea shrubbery! You must have a green thumb, Danielle! Bring on spring :)
ReplyDeleteGlad Spring has sprung where you are... Enjoy it!
