And he was an amazing man and filled the roll for me while I grew up. Definitely an important thing and wonderful when you have it. I miss him something terrible but have such great memories of him from my childhood and early adult years :)Anna (herding cats-burning soup)https://www.blogger.com/profile/17422129120413380189noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7744942361776579041.post-32670283739533981512014-01-11T21:23:13.002-05:002014-01-11T21:23:13.002-05:00Here, here. (I think they were twenty-five cents then.) :)

Your day sounds wonderful. ☺Danahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16272293468239097754noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7744942361776579041.post-70220568227826787732014-01-10T00:23:06.490-05:002014-01-10T00:23:06.490-05:00Your dad sounds like a wonderful man/dad. Its hard for me to know what a good dad versus bad dad is since my dad died when I was 18 months old so I don't remember him nor have every been "fathered" so to speak. But for you to have a good relationship with him past your growing up years is a good thing in my book!

bettybettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06323135450742337670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7744942361776579041.post-10007337625693308382014-01-09T14:14:04.341-05:002014-01-09T14:14:04.341-05:00I adored my dad, and still miss him every day...he...I adored my dad, and still miss him every day...he was an exceptionally good father with a great sense of humour about parenting.

On the one hand, I can see the bloggers point about a Dad getting his daughter ready not being a big deal; after all, they are also parents, not just 'helpers', so why the fuss? On the other hand...having good parents is not guaranteed, so celebrating good parenting is definitely very worthy! The Crankyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11482237436135513483noreply@blogger.com
